National Conference Against Discrimination in Internships in Higher Education

Save the Date: November 9, 2026

On Monday, November 9, 2026 , ECHO, the Center of Expertise on Diversity, in collaboration with The Hague University of Applied Sciences, will host the fourth national conference on combating internship discrimination in higher education.

During the annual conference, we bring together employers, education professionals, policymakers, students, and other stakeholders to share experiences and jointly explore next steps in addressing internship discrimination.

This edition will focus on employers. While previous editions primarily focused on the role of education and students, this year’s edition centers on the question of how employers can contribute to a fair, accessible, and socially safe internship market.

In due course, more information about the program, the speakers, the workshops, and practical details regarding the conference will be posted on this page.
