For students
Be a part of our community of young leaders and changemakers.
Since its founding, ECHO has been dedicated to supporting students from non-Western backgrounds and students of color. Each year, new ECHO Ambassadors join our community of socially engaged students and (young) professionals. We offer a variety of opportunities for our community to expand their networks and grow personally and professionally. Through diverse programs and initiatives, we connect students, (young) professionals, and our stakeholders.
ECHO Awards

Each year, ECHO invites colleges and universities to nominate socially engaged students for the ECHO Award. All nominees are invited to join the ECHO Ambassadors Academy, a leadership program that immerses participants in the theory and practice of diversity and inclusion. Following nomination, candidates automatically become part of the ECHO Ambassadors community.
ECHO Study Trip

ECHO Award winners receive an all-expenses-paid study trip to UCLA. This international journey is designed for students and young professionals eager to dive deeper into diversity, social justice, and leadership. Participants visit universities and grassroots organizations while reflecting together on societal issues—and their own role in creating change.
Critical Friends Program

A new program focused on the challenges of inclusive leadership. Selected ECHO Ambassadors are paired with professionals in leadership roles or with leadership ambitions. As “critical friends,” participants support each other and exchange insights on creating inclusive environments and understanding organizational leadership dynamics.
