ECHO Award 2018 ceremony

6 September 2018

On September 20th the ECHO Awards 2018 will take place, a prize for excellent students with a non-western background in higher education. The award ceremony will be hosted by Loyens & Loeff in Amsterdam, which will present a Loyens & Loeff Law & Tax Award for the first time in addition to the regular Awards. The winners will be announced by the Minister of Education, Science and Culture. Gyzlene Zeroual-Kramer is the master of ceremonies.

During the presentation, the audience will be introduced to the 13 finalists selected from 34 nominated candidates. They are successful students with a non-western background who stand out because of their excellent study performance, pioneering attitude, bridge-builder qualities, active social engagement and leadership skills. With their inspiring life stories and stimulating vision on issues related to diversity and inclusion, the candidates show the added value of diversity. Click here for an overview of the finalists.
