Recap: ECHO Award 2024
During the ECHO Awards 2024 ceremony on November 28, students were honored for their efforts to foster connection and inclusion in a time of increasing societal polarization. The winners – including Pravesha Ramsundersingh, Anas Kjidâa, Orlando Ceder, Zakaria Bousdar, and Jumana Tuama – are making an impact in diverse ways: from promoting social safety in education and youth participation in policy, to amplifying cultural visibility, supporting underprivileged youth, and addressing mental health within migrant families. Their work demonstrates how lived experience and leadership can contribute to a more just society. The winners are rewarded with a fully-funded Summer Course at UCLA in Los Angeles. Recap: ECHO Award 2023
On Thursday, Dec. 7, Minister Dijkgraaf announced the winners of the ECHO Award 2023 at the Loyens & Loeff headquarters. Emin Batman, Shahram Malouki, Achraf Agarmaoine and Saadullah Shehadeh received the award. They distinguished themselves for their ability to create concrete impact in society with a clear vision and from lived experience. The winners will be rewarded with an all-expense paid summer course at UCLA in Los Angeles.
